CUSTOMIZED, INDIVIDUALIZED LEARNING, PAIRED WITH PEER SUPPORT

Our MCAT Coaching Program supports the student in all aspects of MCAT preparation; cognitive, non-cognitive and metacognitive in a combined individualized and peer learning environment.

The MCAT Coaching Program is a small, cohort based program designed for students who have done some degree of foundational content preparation and are looking for individualized guidance coupled with peer learning and support. Our program curriculum encompasses both the cognitive, non-cognitive and metacognitive aspects of the exam.

Over the course of the 12 week program, students will receive 24 hours of 1:1 individualized coaching and 18 hours of group coaching.  Our group coaching encompasses expert-led lessons on the structure of the MCAT, key MCAT strategies and optimizing your learning and focus. The group coaching sessions are designed to optimize peer learning and peer accountability models.

Cohorts run in the spring, summer and fall with target MCAT dates of January, May/June and August/September.

  • We know that life happens and oftentimes students’ plans change. We will adapt to your needs to keep you progressing toward test day.

  • No. There are many FACTORS that affect student performance on test day and, as with many ASPECTS in life, intentional preparation is the best predictor for hitting a defined goal. We work directly with students to help them prepare to the best of their ability in every test taking area; cognitive, non-cognitive and metacognitive. We also advise on how to determine if and when you are ready to take the test.

  • “Working with Owen and Mandy has transformed my experience with test-taking along my medical journey. I learned key test-taking skills that were immediately appreciated in the MCAT, and have continued throughout my rigorous coursework in medical school. I greatly appreciated the opportunity to work with other students as we contextualized our studies and developed a community of support.”

    - Abby P., Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania

  • “At the beginning of January, I thought the MCAT was an impossible feat and I did not have the confidence to tackle what I thought was a "monster" test. As I got connected with Mandy and Owen and started working with them, they made me realize that the MCAT was not the "monster" I perceived it to be. They made the whole process of preparing for the test so easy and smooth that it made the MCAT much less stressful. They were attentive to my concerns and needs, and they were meticulous with analyzing what was going wrong/what was going right in order to strategize how I can improve. By the beginning of April, I learned not only an immense amount of scientific material, but Mandy and Owen also taught me mental strength and endurance. I am so glad I had them to help me with this process, and I would highly recommend it to anyone else who is looking for that extra boost in their MCAT prep!”

    - Jill G. Northeastern University

  • “Mandy and Owen's teaching program gave me the edge I needed to crush the MCAT. It's hard to prepare for something as big and complex as the MCAT. I was taking college courses and working in the lead-up to my MCAT, and they helped me parse out my study weaknesses and create a sustainable study strategy that let me accomplish my goals. Owen really helped me both study the material and prepare efficiently for the exam. Mandy was a tremendous help in coaching me to maintain my wellbeing while I studied and balanced my commitments. The skills of efficient studying and mindful test-taking have served me well, even into medical school.”

    - James I., Wake Forest School of Medicine

  • “Mandy and Owen were the best MCAT coaches for someone like me, especially since I was not a natural test taker. Being taught to take the test from a mental and educational standpoint is integral to succeeding in the MCAT. Being a part of the cohort and the individual tutoring sessions helped me learn the material and overcome the mental block that comes with taking such a daunting test.”

    - Ross J., Tulane University School of Medicine
